Brothers, David & Richard Furber, Make Large Donation of Family Items

Brothers, David & Richard Furber, longtime, former Farmington residents, made substantial donations this fall of family items to be part of the permanent museum collection. Some of the items included were scores and scores of Furber family photos, two Farmington yearbooks and a Farmington High School diploma, many news articles about Farmington, and a their father's World War II, United States of America, Army uniform, which is in near perfect condition.

The brothers also left a simple narrative of  their father, Myron F. Furber, who lived in Farmington his entire life, minus his time serving in during World War II. They are the grandsons of former Police Chief, F. Leon Furber and his wife, Flora A. Furber.

We greatly appreciate these generous donations and the personal glimpse they give into Furber family history. I'm honored to be the steward of these items. Most have already been protected for permanent display and archiving and I'm looking forward to the day when they are available for the public to see in the online museum.
