#FarmingtonNH #History Bulletin Board Is Up!

The Farmington Historical Society’s new bulletin board is up! Each month we will feature a little piece of Farmington’s history with pictures. Stop by and take a look.

This month covers the Steam Boat Hotel, located on the  corner of Main Street and Central Street. Most of you know it as the downtown laundry now. It was an early stagecoach stop, a general store, and print shop. Later it was the home of the regional newspaper, The Farmington News, a grocer, and was also home to our post office for a time.

Please visit the board, at the village commons, by the bus stop, for more detailed information and to view all of the photographs.

The Society would like everyone to thank Sharon and Paul Turner for doing the work to secure the board, assemble the information, research the photos, and put up the board.

Farmington Historical Society is an all volunteer organization and rely solely on those volunteers for doing artifact sorting, item research, historical investigating, community outreach, and maintaining the physical and online Museum of Farmington NH History

Please consider joining the Society as a paid member or making monetary donations to help the membership further our activities.
