First Congregational Church Celebrating 200 Years In 2019

The public was invited to tour the historic First Congregational Church of Farmington on Sunday, November 12, 2017. People who were married in the church or attended Sunday School since the 1950’s were encouraged to bring photos which will become part of historic displays as the church approaches its 200th anniversary in 2019.

The Farmington Historical Society was able to document the displays as well as photograph some of the notable features of the church, known for its Gothic Revival architecture and beautiful stained glass windows.

View these photos, the brochure for the event, as well as an article about the restoration from New Hampshire Sunday News, December 21, 1975, an item donated to the museum,  this year, by David Furber.
