A Visit with Abraham Lincoln presented by Steve Wood
6:00 PM Multipurpose Room at the Valley View Community School
Abraham Lincoln, portrayed by Steve Wood, begins this program by recounting his early life and ends with a reading of the "Gettysburg Address." Along the way he comments on the debates with Stephen Douglas, his run for the presidency, and the Civil War. Steve Wood, a graduate of the University of Maine, School of Forestry, worked for nearly thirty years with the UNH Cooperative Extension as an Extension Educator in Forest Resources, retiring at the end of 2003. He has been researching and presenting Living History programs as Abraham Lincoln since 1995. Steve is a member of the Association of Lincoln Presenters, the League for the Advancement of New England Storytelling, and the NH Storytelling Alliance.
